The Tattered Cover, Denver, Colo., has joined the podcast people, launching a free, weekly podcast called Authors on Tour–Live, according to Bookselling This Week. The podcasts feature author events at the three Tattered Cover stores and run 30-45 minutes.Click here to go to website.

This newsletter was conceived at the 2005 ALA conference in Chicago , where Google hosted a booth in the exhibit hall. We spent three days chatting with librarians about Google: what you liked, what you didn’t like, and where you saw opportunities to work together to help people find useful, relevant information. In an effort to keep those conversations going, we’re launching this newsletter. Consider it a first step toward what we hope will be a long and mutually beneficial relationship. We anticipate sending it out quarterly, with the occasional special feature as appropriate.

I have faxed to each branch a replacement time sheet for the current time period. This was done because the county provided timesheet had holidays on different days than we do and I felt it was too confusing. Please use the new timesheet. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Greetings everyone!

Just a quick note to share in the excitement. The Library Foundation has received a generous donation from a couple wishing to remain anonymous and who will be receiving some “free” ski passes! May all their shooshing be the best ever!

There are six passes still available so if you know of any business associates, businesses in your community that might be interested in employee recognition or incentives, if you overhear a conversation in a coffee shop about skiing, or if any other possibilities come to mind please let them know where they can pick up some “free” passes and directly benefit the community at the same time.
