I just finished Chris Abani’s novel GraceLand and I would like to highly recommend it. This was definately one of the best books I have read this year. ISBN 0312425287.

I recently read “The Falls” by Joyce Carol Oats. I had never read anything by her but was always intrigued by how prolific she is. Turns out she is a great storyteller and she incorporated provocative social issues into this particular book. She was easy to read but I can see why her reputation is so strong. I am probally going to read some more of her novels if I ever find the time.

I really enjoyed that novel too! I have read some of her others and they were also good.
