Studies Show Why Exercise Boosts Brain Power
Some days it is harder than others (and today is one of them) to get on the stair machine or lift weights. I know it is good for me and I feel so much better when I do it but it is still difficult sometimes. Today I found out about another reason for exercising:
A new study found, “exercise boosts brainpower by building new brain cells in a brain region linked with memory and memory loss”. If you want to read the whole article click here.

Now if I can just remember to exercise!

After puzzling on a difficult problem for too long I’ve learned that taking a walk can kick the other side of my brain into gear. Within an hour or two of getting some exercise the answer to the problem will start to take shape. With the nice weather we’ve been having lately it’s something to consider.

I agree with Penny- and in my experience it doesn’t even need to be a long walk. Sometimes just around the block is all I need to shift my perspective enough to solve a problem.
