Donate to Planned Parenthood in honor of Sarah Palin - it feels great!
We may have thought we wanted a woman on a national political ticket, but the joke has really been on us, hasn’t it? Are you also troubled by the thought of Sarah Palin as Vice President of the United States?

Take Action for Women’s Rights
Since Palin gave her speech accepting the Republican nomination for the Vice Presidency, Barack Obama’s campaign has raised over $10 million dollars. Some of you may already be supporting the Obama campaign financially; others of you may still be recovering from the primaries. None of you, however, can be happy with Palin’s selection, especially on her positions on women’s issues. So, if you feel you can’t support the Obama campaign financially, try the following fiendishly brilliant alternative.

Make a donation to Planned Parenthood. In Sarah Palin’s name.
A Planned Parenthood donation is tax deductible, while a political donation isn’t.

And here’s the good part: When you make a donation to Planned Parenthood in her name, they’ll send Sarah Palin a card telling her that the donation has been made in her honor.

“I know one bookman, who once had at least the semblance of a library, who informed me recently that he already had sixteen hundred songs on his iPod. He didn’t mention having bought any books along the way.
It’s hard to buck an emerging culture, but pluralism is still possible - one need not really abandon the rich book culture that was there before.”

“Stein says that as mayor, Palin continued to inject religious beliefs into her policy at times. “She asked the library how she could go about banning books,” he says, because some voters thought they had inappropriate language in them. “The librarian was aghast.” That woman, Mary Ellen Baker, couldn’t be reached for comment, but news reports from the time show that Palin had threatened to fire Baker for not giving “full support” to the mayor.”
